Our attempts at connection are mediated by linguistic and social illusions, rendering them fickle and uncertain. I use self-portraiture and dream-like imagery to navigate this paradox, often depicting the human figure as a fragile vessel enclosed within these very constructs.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Working across oil and watercolor painting, video art, and performance, my concepts emerge from a conflicted relationship with my own body, the environment, and the society that demands hollow submission. My art is an invitation to see yourself as you really are: both the one who suffers and the one who causes suffering.
